After finnishing yesterday on the podium for the first time in the Super-G this season, Lara Gut-Behrami won today's race ahead a trio of Italians. Yesterday's winner Federica Brignone finished in second place 0.15 seconds behind. Marta Bassino was third (+0.19) and Elena Curtoni fourth (+0.52).

A superfast and straight line, despite a massive error in the top section, made the 31-year-old Swiss skier able to return to the victory path. Despite the second Super-G in St. Anton had to be stopped six runners before the end due to strong gusts of wind, the race could be run from the original start, unlike on Saturday.

"I didn't think it would be enough to win. It was a fast but certainly not flawless ride. It's a slope where you always have to fight and risk it from top to bottom. I did that and it worked out in the end. Of course, the turns on the last sector helped me. I am happy to ski like that. It’s been an amazing weekend. I hope that I can take this momentum with me to Cortina and get faster on the Downhill.", Gut-Behrami said.

Like two years ago, Lara Gut-Behrami celebrated victory in the Super-G in St. Anton. It was her 36th World Cup victory and her 70th time on the podium. The last time she was on top of the podium in a Super-G in the World Cup (she won the gold medal in the Super-G in Beijing 2022) was in St. Moritz on December 2021.

It's her fifth podium this season. With 18 wins in the discipline Lara Gut-Behrami is in second place on the women's list for most World Cup Super-G wins, behind Lindsey Vonn (28).

After today's second place Federica Brignone leads the Super-G standings with 209 points, 17 points ahead of Lara Gut-Behrami (192). Teammate Elena Curtoni is in third place with 190 points.

Last season Federica Brignone won the women's Super-G Crystal Globe but until St. Anton double 1-2 podium her best result on the discipline this season was a 11th place in St. Moritz. She finished in the 26th place in Lake Louise.

"Before the icefall I made a mistake again. I was too aggressive there. Today I didn't have that good feeling anymore. I wanted to ski even more precisely, so I probably overdid it a bit. But of course I'm still very satisfied with this weekend", Brignone said.

Today's podium is the third one in the Super-G for Marta Bassino. She has finished in second place in Bansko in 2020 and in St. Anton in 2021.

"I'm very happy with the result. At the finish I was surprised because my feeling wasn't right", Bassino said.
